That was meant to be the sixth book in the series, but several changes in the previous novels have rendered it good only for playing cut and paste to me. May you all enjoy it. I am intelligent, if rather hermit-tending. And I don't mind my reassignment as a janitor, after having been a cart-gatherer for three years.

So my cart would have been "the one that got away". It was found thirty blocks from where it belonged but no cart-gatherers would drive over to pick it up. It's just perfect for my needs;even developing a personality. I enjoy your comments round and about.
"...a cart-gatherer for three years?" A jingle-jangle man? My cart becomes so heavy that the surface streets have me getting a work-out just on one side of my body. Could be damaging in the long term. So I stick to the alleys, where only the firetrucks and garbage gatherers travel. The surfaces are in far better shape (less traffic), and the backyard dogs join my singing/howling chorus. We value that wild which remains.
